No live act at the Halloween J Pop Go

The next "J Pop Go" music evening is scheduled to be held once again at Cafe Manga from 7pm on the night of Saturday 28th October 2006. They had hoped to have live music in the form of "Shinonome Orchestra", but unfortunately they will now be unable to perform.

J-Rock arrives in London

Anyone interested in Japanese music and living in London will probably be aware of the "J-Pop Go!" evenings that have been held at Manga Cafe, County Hall, London - but this weekend the place is being give over to J-Rock instead. The event is due to take place on 29th July 2006, with the doors opening at 8pm. The event is only for people 18 and over.

Production I.G create music video

J-Pop Go is going back to school on Saturday April 1st

The next J-Pop Go Jpop evening is scheduled for Saturday 1st April from 7:00pm to 1:00am at its new home - Cafe Manga, County Hall, Riverside Building, Westminster Bridge Road, London.

ADV Films will be using the event to launch the release of Cromartie High School, so attendees are encouraged to dress up in their favourite school uniforms.

Japanese PSP karaoke service launched

GameSpot have a report that Portable TV (a Sony website for PSP content) will be offering downloadable karaoke songs through a deal with Taito, one of the country's major karaoke providers. The songs featured include tunes from both anime shows and Japanese pop music.

Rie Fu to perform at J-Pop Go

We have already reported that the next J-Pop Go club night in London takes place on Wednesday 7th December, but we have now received an email saying that Rie Fu will be performing live at the event.

Rie Fu has been responsible for the ending theme to Bleach, as well as performing one of the ending themes to Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny.
